Research Description

My research programme addresses questions about paediatric eye disease and visual function, childhood visual impairment, the prenatal and childhood origins of, and life-course influences on, adult eye disease and visual function, as well as the genetic basis of common complex eye disorders. It comprises inter-disciplinary research encompassing classical epidemiology, lifecourse epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, and health services research. New collaborations across institutions and scientific fields have been central themes.
