Research Description

My main research interests and activities prior to retirement lay in the area of injury and repair in the adult mammalian nervous system, with special focus on molecular factors associated with the normal failure of regeneration in the CNS after injury, and with successful axonal regeneration induced by manipulations such as transplantation of peripheral nerve into the CNS.
