Information Load on the Road

Professor Nilli Lavie collaborates with Toyota Motor Europe’s advanced technology team to investigate the effects of “information load on the road” on drivers’ information processing, brain responses and driving performance, and pursue the applications of this research to the design of safer cars.

The project involves fMRI brain scanning during driving in a car simulator, while varying the driver’s level of information load.
