Dear Slade staff, students and alumni,

This website marks the launch of a brand new archive for sound and performance at the Slade.
Though work of this nature is extremely pervasive at the Slade it strikes me that much of it goes either unnoticed,  unrecorded or even unrealised.
It is my ambition, therefore, that members of the Slade community, both (past and present) have a site for the composition, performance and archive of ephemeral/transient works that fall out of established frameworks for the documentation/dissemination of fine art practices at the Slade.
I am currently asking all Slade affiliates to submit works of a sonic/performative nature to form the basis of this archive, an archive that will be accessible both on the web and at a series of events at the Slade.
I believe that this archive has the potential to be the largest and most ambitious of its kind but this will only be possible with a wide range of contributions from artists across the Slade.

ALL WORKS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE WHILST RESIDENT AT THE SCHOOL.
