Skin in the Game
Alumnus Sean Hillen has participated in Donald Taylor Black’s new Irish Film Board-funded documentary, Skin in the Game, which examines
the current financial crisis through responses of a number of artists
who are using it as subject matter for their work. The film will be screened at the Irish Film Institute, 6 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 at 6.30pm on Tuesday 12th March 2013. See www.ifi.ie/film/skin-in-the-game.
Provost's Portrait Competition
Martine Poppe is the winner of the Provost's portrait competition, to commemorate the end of UCL Provost Malcolm Grant's term of office, funded by UCL alumnus Mr Vincent Cheung. The result was announced on 25 February 2013.
The competition, which was open to students and recent graduates of the Slade School of Fine Art, took the form of a sketching session last summer, from which five finalists were chosen: paintings by Martine Poppe, Ishai Rimmer, Sorcha Williams, a photograph by Thomas Jenkins and embroidered panel by Tom Worsfield.

Connect 10 - 2013
Voting has now opened for Connect 10 which is hosted by Culture 24 and offers an opportunity for all UK Museums to stay open late May 16-18th, to invite a new audience in. Connect 10 selects 10 artists to be paired up with 10 selected Museums in order to create some fun interactive installations to draw more attention.
