Use your Gmail Contact Groups as subscribable mailing lists

What:

  • Use your Gmail Contact Groups as subscribable mailing lists so that anybody can add / remove themselves from it
  • Get a subscription box for your website – customizable with your own style sheet (see right)
  • Get a custom URL for your mailing list (e.g. http://www.GMailingList.com/<you choose>)

Why:

  • So that you don’t need to manually update your contacts in your Gmail Contact Groups
Note: people can only add / remove themselves from your Gmail Contact Groups with email addresses they have access to

How to:

Start a mailing list Subscribe to a mailing list
  1. Sign in with your Gmail account
  2. Grant access to your Gmail Contacts
  3. Create subscribable Gmail Contact Group(s)
  4. Tell people about your mailing list(s)
  1. Search for the mailing list
  2. Enter your (subscriber) email address
  3. Click ‘Subscribe’ – confirmation email will be sent
  4. Click confirmation link in email
