Harking back to an earlier Slade tradition, a special Strawberry Tea was held on the UCL Portico on Thursday 7 June from 5:30-8pm.

In 1868, Slade bequeathed funds for three Professorships in Fine Art at University College London, Cambridge and Oxford. An additional endowment of six scholarships was left to UCL which led to the establishment of the Slade School of Fine Art in 1871.
