I create textured oil paintings that capture ambiguous anthropomorphically shaped subjects in imaginative worlds and landscapes inspired by our digital age. I employ a technique of transferring manual sketches into digital software and then later transfer my designs into the analogue world of oil paint, rendering between the physical and virtual worlds I seek to find an equilibrium between the corporeal and the ethereal. The forms I create describe bodies that don’t make anatomical sense, as limbs twist and curl within the canvas, eyes double and bodies morph into one within fantastical settings of saturated colour.
