Merlin James is a painter based in Glasgow. He studied at the Central School of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. Merlin James has written extensively on art in the Burlington Magazine and elsewhere, and a volume of his collected art criticism is forthcoming from Modern Art Press, London.

With artist Carol Rhodes he runs 42 Carlton Place, an occasional exhibition space in Glasgow. The present talk will focus on his curated projects.
