Slade students took part in helping to devise and perform in the dance section of lecturer Hayley Newman's Crisis Cabaret at the Barbican Theatre on the 13th March 2013.

The Crisis Cabaret was performed by Hayley and the all female dance troop ‘Loose Change’ at Cabaret Duchamp, an evening event celebrating the Duchamp exhibition at the Barbican Art Gallery. The short performance was a theatricalisation of a chapter from Hayley's book Common. Slade students danced in the style of Busby Berkley with giant pennies, an artwork by Cat Phillipps. For the performance Hayley wore a wearable painting by Slade lecturer and Head of Graduate Painting, Lisa Milroy.  The evening also included a performance by Slade alumnus Martin Creed.

The performance can be seen on Vimeo.
