Students undertake an independent research project of their own design in the field of science and technology studies. An appropriate supervisor is selected in consultation with the module tutor. Discussion of research is undertaken during regular tutorials.
Students undertake an independent research project of their own design in the field of Philosophy, Medicine, and Society. An appropriate supervisor is selected in consultation with the course tutor. Discussion of research is undertaken during regular tutorials. Permission required. Normally, this course is open only to students enrolled in intercalated BSc programmes.
This is a full-year, one course unit research module. In Term 1, HPSC3026 students explore topic options and undertake critical reading in consultation with tutors. The expectation is that by the start of Term 2 of the intercalating year an agreement on supervision and project idea will be in place. In Term 2, students accelerate their research.
