Ronald Dworkin - An Obitury

It is with great sadness that the Department received the news of the death of Ronald Dworkin.
Ronald Dworkin was one of the most prominent legal philosophers of our times. He held joint appointments in Law and Philosophy in UCL Laws and NYU. For many years, he chaired the high-profile Colloquium in Social and Legal Philosophy, an integral component of our MA in Legal and Political Theory. He inspired generations of SPP students with his monumental contribution to legal philosophy, his rigorous and passionate philosophical debates with prominent scholars from around the world, and his wit and love of life.
