He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts in 2009 and is currently a member of the board of the European Centre for Public Affairs and the Ethics Committee of the European Public Affairs Committee. Business Lobbying in the EU
The role of the firm in European public policy has been a long-standing contentious issue for academics and policymakers. Moving beyond the Euro corporatists, this lecture will develop an analysis of individual business lobbying capacities that takes account of the distinct nature of EU public policy process. The talk will address the political behavioural logic of business, assess the allocation of political resources across the European institutions and along the policy cycle, and explore the effectiveness of such strategies.
