Following the success of our two networking events earlier this year, we’re holding Creating Connections 3 on November 26th. The aim of the event is to bring together UCL staff and postgraduate students with representatives from the community and voluntary sectors, to find ways to collaborate on projects of mutual interest. The event is for you if you:
- Are looking for partners for a public engagement project
- Want to build stronger links with community organisations
- Have areas of research that may be of interest to the wider community
- Would like to get another view on your work from outside academia
- The event on November 26th will be focussing on five themes:
- Measuring impact of community/voluntary organisations
- Use of urban space
- Health and well-being
- Intercultural interactions
- Can technology/engineering help communities solve the problems they face?
If you’d like to book a place, please complete the online registration form by Friday 16 November at the latest. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To find out more, please email John Braime at the Volunteering Services Unit (j.braime@ucl.ac.uk) or Laura Cream at the Public Engagement Unit (l.cream@ucl.ac.uk)
Creating Connections is organised by UCL’s Public Engagement Unit, UCLU’s Volunteering Services Unit, and Camden Shares.
