Year Abroad Requirements 2012-13

Introduction

The Third Year (Year Abroad), like all years of your degree programme, carries four course units (‘cus’), and, like every year, successful completion of an appropriate number of cus is required for progression into the following (in this case final) year.

Set out below are the modules that constitute the Year Abroad assessment. These modules are compulsory for all language degrees, whether including one or two languages and whatever the Year Abroad placement. ELCS3003/3004/3005 will be evaluated through percentage marks, classified and weighted 5 as part of the final year average. All the other modules will be given a pass or fail result.

  • Oral consists of 8 minute presentation on outline A + discussion
