Use of French
Course code: FREN2001.
Course unit value: 0.5.
This second-year course requires students to respond in French to a variety of texts and other stimuli in linguistic situations such as dialogue, group presentation, synopsis, judgment etc. A variety of topics (all linked to French or francophone culture and actualités) will be covered. Francophone students do not take this course.
Assessment: one unseen three-hour written exam (100%). Satisfactory attendance and completion of the coursework are normally prerequisites for examination entry.
Students must pass this module to progress onto their Year Abroad.
