SELCS

Undergraduates: first-year

Your priority during Induction Week is to enrol on courses using the online UCL student records facility, PORTICO. The School page PORTICO course registration has advice on how to use PORTICO.

In addition, all first-year undergraduates of all School departments (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Scandinavian and Spanish & Latin American Studies) and BA Language and Culture must attend the Induction Week meetings listed below.

Among the events listed below are visits to the UCL Library and Transition Programme meetings with mentors. The groups for visits to the Library and the lists of mentors are posted on Departmental noticeboards and outside the Undergraduate and Affiliate Officers’ office in the School building, 33-35 Torrington Place.

For Modern Language students where both languages are within SELCS, you are invited to attend the welcome party for each language. These are very relaxed events and you should feel free to come and go between parties.
