SPAN2307 - The Subaltern in Latin American Culture

Module Description:

This module seeks to analyse the portrayal of the subaltern and the city in Latin American culture in a variety of genres, including the poetry, the short story and film. The figures of the subaltern chosen include the slave in a colonial society, the worker in a capitalist society, and the woman in a patriarchal society.
