Module Description:

Through the work of novelists and poets, this module examines some of the major issues of nineteenth-century literature: its relations to revolution in the aesthetic, political and social spheres; its focus on the real and the everyday; its concern for formal experimentation; its preoccupation with a new category of experience, the modern.
