DUTC4201 - Making Modern Dutch Literature

Module Description:

This module provides students with the opportunity to study writers whose work has had a major impact on the modern literary canon. The module looks at the institution of Dutch literature from the mid-nineteenth century until today. There will be a number of case studies of individual authors taken from different periods and representing literature from the Netherlands and Flanders. Currently these authors are Carry van Bruggen, Hugo Claus and Cees Nooteboom.
