Dr Stephen Fay

Dr Fay teaches Spanish to English translation and a number of departmental modules. He has previously lectured on Latin American Cultural History and Hispanic Literature and taught advanced Spanish-English translation. He has published on 20th-century Cuban cultural history, Latin American lexicography and travel writing in the Caribbean; his research areas include Latin American prison literature, historical and literary representations of age and ageing (with a particular focus on life writing and age-related illnesses) and the pedagogical possibilities of popular song lyric translation.
