WHY I APPLIED TO THE SECURITY SCIENCE DTC
Security Science is such a fascinating field. It combines science with theoretical modules and encourages multidisciplinary approaches. I initially applied for the Security Science DTC to enhance my knowledge on the security aspects I was lacking from my engineering background.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Mainly my interests focus on airport security control. It would be very interesting to find ways to increase the security in airports without burdening the public. Another aspect to this would be decreasing the terrorist attacks in airports.
WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT STUDYING
When I am not studying I usually hang around ULU (University of London Union) and more specifically at the gym which is located less than 100 metres from the institute. I am very outgoing and tend to meet people with the first chance.
MY CAREER ASPIRATIONS
After finishing my first degree I was sure that I wanted to become an academic. Acquiring this PhD in three years from now will enable me to work as an academic back home and to realise my dreams.
WHAT KIND OF PARTNER ORGANISATION I'D LIKE TO WORK WITH AND WHAT I'D LIKE FROM THEM
I would like to work with a 3D imaging company in order to improve my
skills on medical imaging and help overcome difficulties or problems in
the field. Most importantly, I would like to work for a reputable
organisation that respects its employees.
