Vaseem Khan

Vaseem Khan is the Business Development Director for the Dept of Security and Crime Science and the national Security Science Doctoral Research Training Centre (UCL SECReT). He is currently managing the £7m funding for UCL SECReT and is also the Project Manager for the £3m What Works in Crime Reduction Commissioned Partnership Programme, working with eight universities and the UK national College of Policing. Vaseem is the Dissemination Coordinator for the EU-funded FP7 project ‘Preventing, Interdicting and Mitigating Extremism (PRIME) and was the Dissemination Coordinator for the now completed FP7 project ‘Resilient Infrastructure and Building Security.’

He also has responsibility for the department's communications and branding strategy, course recruitment and for strategic industrial engagement. Vaseem is the Conference Convenor of the annual International Crime Science Conference and the National Environmental Crime Conference.

Vaseem has over a decade of experience in international business development, management consultancy and strategic marketing and has worked with public limited companies in India and China. He has a degree in finance from the London School of Economics and is a qualified Chartered Marketer (awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing) since 2007.
