Welcome to UCL Scandinavian Studies! We teach and research the language, literature, history, linguistics and visual culture of Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway and Sweden from medieval times to the present day. >> Our PhD student Richard Cole has won a prestigious Fulbright award to spend the academic year 2013-14 at Harvard University. He will be spending a year in Harvard as a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures, where he hopes to pursue his secondary interests in Yiddish, Old English and Medieval Hebrew. > Read more
