- 30th January 2013: The European Commission has issued a call for expressions of interest from interested parties to participate as an expert in one of several Horizon 2020 Advisory Groups. Interested groups or individuals should submit a proposal before 17:00 Brussels time on 6th March 2013. For guidance please contact ERDO.
- 1st November 2012 Seven UCL researchers have just been awarded European Research Council Advanced Independent Researcher grants, with a total value of over €17 million, to carry out cutting-edge research. Each of the grants is worth approximately €2.5 million for five years.

As Senior European Contracts Executive, Greta Borg-Carbott provides supervisory support to the pre-award team and carries out research into EU funding opportunities and EU research and innovation strategy. Greta is also responsible for the legal and financial aspects of grant negotiations with the European Commission and provides specialised guidance for UCL staff preparing EU research funding applications. Greta is the main contact person for UCL Arts and Humanities, Laws, Social and Historical Sciences and the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SLASH). |

She is also involved in negotiating and setting up EU-funded projects at UCL and providing advice on EU research priorities and opportunities to UCL’s academic community, particularly in relation to Framework Programme 7 (FP7) and Horizon 2020. Kamila is the contact point for the SLMS school. |

As Senior Project Manager Martin is responsible for the delivery of UCL's European Project Management service. This includes the provision of financial, contractual and project management services to UCL-led international projects funded by the European Union Framework Programmes. Martin also is the designated Project Manager of three collaborative projects in the areas of health, mechanical engineering and microbiology. Martin is a registered PRINCE2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner and holds a postgraduate diploma in International Project Management. |
