This session will introduce best practices around data management and data sharing, and will highlight the support and tools available at UCL. The following will be discussed:

•         How good data management can help taking care of your research sources (whether digital or not)

•         Best practices from the planning stage to the end of your project

•         The data management expectations of UCL and key research funders (with a focus on AHRC, ESRC, ERC & Horizon 2020)

•         Services and support available for all UCL researchers to manage their sources and to comply with research data policies.

Presenters
Dr Tom Couch (Research IT Services Facilitator, RITS Facilitation, ISD Research IT Services)
Myriam Fellous-Sigrist
(Research Data Support Officer, UCL Library Services)

Please note:

  • This will be a participative small group session; only 14 spaces are available
  • This session is open to all UCL early career researchers regardless of discipline
  • The registration process includes two short questions that we would like participants to answer:
    Who is funding your research?
Do you have a specific question that you'd like the presenters to address?
  • If you register for a place, but subsequently do not attend the session and do not inform the organiser beforehand (m.reade@ucl.ac.uk), your department will be charged a proportion of the organisation costs
