Our vision

Building on the success of its European Project Management unit, which is currently delivering a €170 million portfolio of 36 EU collaborative grants, ERIO is now offering a Horizon 2020 & Horizon Europe Innovation Management service in support of UCL-led collaborative projects.

Summary

This service works to ensure that UCL-led initiatives funded under the Horizon 2020 & Horizon Europe programmes achieve maximum impact, and helps to take products and services generated by these projects to European markets. Activities focus on coordinating the generation of ideas and knowledge across diverse consortia of European partners.

What we do

At the proposal stage, the Innovation Management service works with colleagues across UCL and the consortium to define a joint innovation strategy for each project.

Innovation strategies are designed to ensure that each project achieves its stated commercial and societal impacts, through identifying and capturing the innovations likely to be generated by the consortium partners during (and beyond) the project.

During the implementation phase, the Innovation Management service keeps in regular contact with project partners, in particular their Technology Transfer offices and scientific teams, and helps to guide them in the innovation process as well as identify emerging technologies and ideas.

At the same time, the service works to identify and contact potential users or customers of each project’s likely outputs, and helps to channel information about their requirements to the consortium partners.
