Sat navs can 'blind' drivers to the road

Driving with a sat nav may blind motorists to dangers on the road, as the act of mentally holding an image makes it harder to see things that are happening right in front of our eyes, according to research by Professor Nilli Lavie (UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience).
