Nature Geoscience Paper on Roots of earthquake-prone faults

Dr Joanna Faure Walker, an IRDR Lecturer, is a co-author of an article in Nature Geoscience on "Viscous roots of active seismogenic faults revealed by geologic slip rate variations", which was published online on 3rd November 2013. This paper shows how the deformation across across active fault scarps at the surface can be linked to the movement of rocks in the deep crust.
