Join the Institute
There are two categories of Institute membership:
- UCL staff and student members
- Non-UCL members
Both of which entitle members to a range of IRDR benefits:
- Can attend IRDR events
- Can apply for IRDR funding for small projects, travel, and visitors
- Can apply for IRDR studentships & fellows
- Use of central Institute resources
- Use of Institute space
The IRDR uses two different mailing lists, here you can sign up.
IRDR-info - This mailing list is used for our termly newsletters and to invite our associates to our largest events. The newsletters include latest news about IRDR research, events, courses, and research impact. Approximately 5 emails per year.
IRDR-members - This mailing list is used for reminders about all of our events, in addition to highlighting certain opportunities and external events that may be of interest to our members. Relevant to members who are based in UCL or London. Approximately 1 email per week.
You can unsubscribe from either list at any time by following the link at the end of the emails
Publications policy for the Institute
All staff or students directly funded from the
Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction must use the affiliation in their publications as
Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction', followed by affiliation(s) of the
departments they are working in.
All members of the Institute working on any project under the IRDR themes should add 'UCL Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction' as a secondary affiliation.
