The Institute launch event was well attended, and bought together a wide range of internal and external people with an active interest in the field of risk and disaster reduction. The panel session raised a number of points for further discussion and development, and saw the announcement of funding opportunities, partnerships, and the report on the recent volcanic activity in Iceland.
