Appointed

Chair (a member of the UCL staff, normally of the Faculty of Laws, to be appointed for a three-year period on the nomination of the President and Provost)

Vice-Chair (a member of the UCL staff, normally from a Faculty other than the Faculty of Laws, to be appointed for a three-year period by Council on the nomination of the President and Provost)

One member of the academic staff of UCL, to be appointed as and when the Committee needs to be convened, by the Registrar in consultation with the Chair, from a panel nominated by the Faculties (normally not less than two members from each Faculty):

Two persons, one of whom will normally be a student, not being members of staff or students of UCL, to be appointed, as and when the Committee needs to be convened, by the Registrar in consultation with the Chair. The student member will be appointed by consultation between the Registrar and Sabbatical Officers of UCL Union normally from among the Sabbatical Officers of Students' Unions of universities in the London region. The member who is not a student will be appointed from among a panel of nominees approved by UCL Council. The Panel approved by UCL Council is as follows:

Terms of Reference

Subject to any general or particular direction that may from time to time be given by Council, the Discipline Committee is charged by Council:

1. To consider any matters referred to the Committee under the Disciplinary Code and Procedure in respect of Students.
2. To report to Council by submission to Council officers of the Minutes of each meeting of the Discipline Committee.

Meeting Dates 2012-13

The Discipline Committee is convened only when necessary.
