Campus relations, freedom of speech on campus
A key recommendation from the Caldicott Inquiry report was "that UCL take action to ensure that its policies and procedures for dealing with and reporting cases of concern about students are not only clearly documented but more effectively communicated". In response, it was reported to Council at its meeting on 24 November 2010 that existing guidance from Universities UK and other sources would be posted on the website and that Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty Tutors and the Dean of Students (Welfare) would be asked to draw this to the attention of staff and be alert to any concerns raised.
