Director of Registry and Academic Services - Tim Perry
The Director is responsible for the overall management of Registry and Academic Services. Like the other heads of Corporate Support Services in UCL, the Director reports direct to the Vice-Provost (Operations) and also has a direct reporting line to the Provost. The Director works closely with other members of the Provost's senior management team (the academic Vice-Provosts and the Deans of Faculty). The Director is also Secretary to UCL's Council.

Assistant Director (Operations and Planning) - Andy Saffery
The Assistant Director (Operations and Planning) is a member of the Registry and Academic Services [RAS] management team with specific responsibility for the financial management, planning and related operational and strategic developments to support RAS operations. The Assistant Director (AD) will, as appropriate, deputise for the Director of RAS and also represent RAS on both internal and external decision-making and planning fora.
The Assistant Director is also responsible for the management of the Registry and Academic Services Office (RASO) providing, inter alia, executive support to the Director of RAS, effective liaison between RAS and the other CSS divisions, and coordinating the implementation of UCL policies and procedures as they affect RAS staff and operations - with particular regard to Financial, HR and Health and Safety matters.
The Assistant Director is currently the line manager for the UCL Day Nursery Manager and, as such, has legal responsible for the operation of UCL’s Day Nursery in accordance with Ofsted guidelines.
The AD’s UCL-wide responsibilities include:
- academic appeals and complaints
- student discipline (including serving as Secretary to the UCL Discipline Committee)
- Contact for the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA).
As the current AD, Andy Saffery is an appointed member of the Academic Registrars’ Council’s Practitioner Group on Student Complaints/Appeals. Andy is also an elected member of UCL’s Academic Board and a Trustee of UCL’s Sports Grounds. He is also a Crabtree Scholar.

REF Manager and Assistant Director (Policy and Communications) - Andrew Cooper
The Assistant Director (Policy and Communications) is a member of the Registry and Academic Services [RAS] management team with specific responsibility for the co-ordination and development of policy planning and a communications strategy for RAS. The Assistant Director will, as appropriate, deputise for the Director of RAS and also represent RAS on UCL committees and working groups. The Assistant Director is also responsible for administering the Centralised Complaints Procedure.
As REF Manager, working closely with the Vice-Provost (Research) and his REF strategy group, he is also responsible for the planning and preparation of UCL’s submissions to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014. The REF Manager is a member of various research data-related committees, working groups and project boards and represents UCL at external research assessment fora.

Divisional Administrator - Belinda Fullelove
The Divisional Administrator (DA) works with colleagues from the Director of Registry and Academic Services Office and the Registry and Academic Services Management Team (RASMT) to deliver day-to-day operational support and assistance with longer term strategic developments.
The DA co-ordinates and undertakes projects and services groups as delegated by the Director. For example, the production and review of policy documents, information returns to external bodies and aspects of other RAS-led strategic developments.
The DA undertakes Human Resources (HR) activities for RAS staff, including recruitment to Registry vacancies, implementation of HR policies and procedures, booking of temporary agency staff and maintenance of records via MyView, Service in Partnership (SiP), other HR applications and the UCL Services System.
The DA represents RAS at meetings of the Departmental Administrators’ Forum, Departmental Administrators and Heads of Corporate Support Services Divisions and HR User Group. The DA is one of the UCL Safeguarding Contacts.
Belinda serves as Green Champion for the Registry and is the Group Coordinator for the Quadrangle Green Network. She is an active member of the Association of University Administrators (AUA) and is the Branch Co-ordinator for the AUA at UCL.

Deputy Divisional Administrator – Jeanette Phillips
The Deputy Divisional Administrator (DDA) provides administrative support for the work of the Director of Registry and Academic Services Office including the Director and other members of the Registry and Academic Services Management Team.
Areas of responsibility include, coordination of the Director’s diary; responding to everyday routine enquiries; maintenance of sets of individualised records related to staff of the Registry and various additional administrative processes.
The DDA is also responsible for administering procedures to conduct Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks for UCL students, maintaining RAS records relating to DBS work and providing guidance to staff/students. Jeanette is the RAS Web Liaison Officer and a First Aid (Appointed person).
