All UCL Qatar programmes are currently open for applications. We are pleased to confirm an application deadline of 1 June 2015 for the Library Studies and Diploma programmes, and an extended deadline of 1 June 2015 for the Archaeology, Conservation and Museum Studies programmes.
We recommend that candidates apply as soon as possible before the deadline, particularly students from overseas who will require a visa to study in Qatar, and students who will be applying for any of the UCL Qatar Scholarships on offer.

Dr Stavroula Golfomitsou elected as IIC Fellow

Dr Stavroula Golfomitsou, Lecturer in Conservation Studies at UCL Qatar, has been elected to the highly prestigious position of Fellow at the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC). The IIC is an independent international organisation supported by both individual and institutional members. Established in 1950, it serves as a forum of communication for professionals in conservation, promotes excellence in conservation and preservation of cultural heritage and raises public awareness of related issues. Fellows are elected by the existing body of IIC Fellows.
Dr Golfomitsou is the degree coordinator for UCL Qatar’s MSc in Conservation Studies, a programme which was established to address the growing need for qualified conservators within the Gulf region. Her research interests include the conservation and analysis of metals, the use of statistical methods in experimental design, the quantification of errors in non-destructive analysis, and risk assessment of decision-making processes in conservation.
