Progress

June 2011 - ongoing: recruitment and recording of participants

This has been going well, with over two-thirds of the recordings completed. We still need participants, and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in taking part.

Ongoing: transcription and analysis

Thanks to our student helpers, we have been able to transcribe all the recordings and align the transcriptions with the sound files.

First analyses

Results of a subset of the data were presented at an invited talk by Valerie Hazan at the ‘Plasticity II’ symposium, University of Turku (16 October 2012): ‘Within-speaker plasticity: speaker-listener adaptations in communicative speech in children and adults’

We will also be presenting further analyses at the Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in Montreal (2-7 June 2013):
