London Phonology Seminar
The London Phonology Seminar is attended by staff and graduate students from several institutes in the London area, mainly UCL and SOAS, as well as by international visitors. Meetings take place regularly throughout the calendar year.
Meetings take various forms: reading-group sessions centred on recent papers, informal presentations of research in progress, and talks by visiting scholars. In the reading sessions, a member of the group summarises and leads the discussion of a paper that has been circulated in advance. The research presentations give members the chance to talk about their their work, often as a way of testing ideas or practising talks before conferences.
Venue: alternating between UCL (Chandler House) and
SOAS
Time: variable, announced through the London Phonology Seminar
