Clinical Mental Health Sciences MSc

The UCL Division of Psychiatry is pleased to offer this new programme focused on clinical practice in mental health and its evidence base. The Clinical Mental Health Sciences MSc caters both for psychology graduates and for clinicians wishing to undertake a broad-based and highly flexible higher degree with options to enhance clinical practice, management skills and research knowledge.


Mental Health Sciences Research MSc

This new programme offers a stimulating and practical training in mental health research. The UCL Division of Psychiatry delivers teaching by leaders in the field of international research, working across the spectrum of mental health – from the biological to the social and epidemiological. This diversity is reflected in the wide range of options available, allowing students to tailor a programme that fully fits their needs.



Research Degrees

MPhil Phd or Md Degrees

Mphil/PhD or MD degrees: The Mental Health Sciences Unit provides a broad range of postgraduate opportunities has an excellent record of winning fellowship awards for postgraduate study, with grants from the Medical Research council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and Department of Health. There are currently about 39 postgraduate research degree students in the department. 


Undergraduate Courses

MB BS Course

MB BS course: Recruitment to this course is done by the Medical School. Psychiatry is taught as a component in Phase 2 Year 4 (new window)of the Clinical Neurosciences module (new window) of the MB BS course.
