UCL visits to schools

Years 6 -11

If you are a non-selective state school in Greater London, you can request presentations or workshops for Years 6-11 to be delivered in your school by UCL staff.

Where possible, we prefer to deliver sessions to your highly able or gifted and talented students. Please note this service is dependent on staff capacity and we may not be able to accommodate all requests.

We offer the following:

  • STEM or humanities subject taster sessions by trained UCL PhD students. These are open to primary and secondary schools, and every session will include a short talk about applying to university
  • Presentations and workshops about university life, post 16 choices, degree subjects, careers, and UCAS applications, delivered by UCL staff

Please contact Alexander Hall to discuss your requirements for Years 6-11.

If you would like to find out about opportunites for your school to visit UCL, please have a look at our Visit UCL Days page.

Year 12

If you are a non-selective state school and you would like a member of UCL staff to visit you please contact Ben Lund-Conlon to discuss your requirements. The type of visits that we generally offer are:

  • Presentation by a member of staff – the presentations that we offer to Year 12 students are 'Introduction to UCL', 'Applying to UCL' or 'Choosing Your Course and University'.  Students who are planning to apply to competitive universities will find these presentations of most relevance.  The length of the session can be varied to suit the time available to you, but will generally last between 25 and 45 minutes.
  • Attendance at Higher Education Fairs

Please note this service is dependent on staff capacity and we may not be able to accommodate all requests.

For any other schools, please contact Raoul Morley in our Student Recruitment Team to discuss the possibility of a visit to your school.
