UCL visits to schools

If you are a non-selective state school in Greater London, you can request presentations or workshops for Years 6-12 to be delivered in your school by UCL staff.

For Year 12 activities in any other schools, please contact Raoul Morley in our Student Recruitment Team to discuss the possibility of a visit to your school.

Where possible, we prefer to deliver sessions to your highly able or gifted and talented students. Please note this service is dependent on staff capacity and we may not be able to accommodate all requests.

If you would like to find out about opportunites for your school to visit UCL, please have a look at our Visit UCL Days page.

Years 6-11

For years 6–11, we offer the following:

  • STEM or arts, humanities & social sciences subject taster sessions by trained UCL PhD students. These are open to primary and secondary schools, and every session will include a short talk about applying to university
  • Presentations and workshops in a range of topics such as university life, post 16 choices, degree subjects, careers, and UCAS applications, delivered by UCL staff
  • Current Student Ambassadors to attend Careers Fairs and share their experiences as a UCL student and advise about entry requirements and possible degrees

Please contact Alexander Hall to discuss your requirements for Years 6-11.

Year 12

For year 12, we offer the following:

  • Presentation by a member of UCL staff. Students who are planning to apply to competitive universities will find these presentations of most relevance. The length of the session can be varied to suit the time available to you, but will generally last between 25 and 45 minutes.
" Topics can include, 'Introduction to UCL', 'Applying to UCL', 'Choosing Your Course and University' or ‘Personal Statement Workshops’
  • Attendance at Higher Education Fairs

Please contact Ben Lund-Conlon to discuss your requirements for year 12.
