Citrus Saturday - inspiring entrepreneurship.
Each summer UCL Advances runs Citrus Saturday, a project to help young people find out about running a business and experience creating their own startup for a day by making and selling lemonade!
We provide everything needed for young people to experience what it’s like to start a their own company, increasing employability, raising aspirations and broadening future work options. Participants will attend interactive workshops on basic business planning and product design, then make and sell lemonade on market stalls.
The Citrus Saturday programme launched with a successful Camden-wide pilot in 2011. During 2012 we extended our pilot programme and worked with young people in Edinburgh, Somerset, Dublin, Camden and East London. 2013 saw us expanding into France, Germany, Belgium and across Ireland as well as offering the programme to all UK secondary schools, and towards the end of the year we were thrilled to take the programme to Africa.
This year, International Citrus Saturday will be taking place on Saturday 5th July across various locations in London including Euston, Paddington and a special event at IDEALondon.
