UCL Sutton Scholars for Year 8

Autumn 2013 - Summer 2014

UCL Sutton Scholars is a one year academic enrichment programme 100 highly able Year 8 students from non-selective London state schools. On interdisciplinary Discovery Days, students explore a range of exciting humanities and science subjects and develop their academic skills. E-Mentoring

Every UCL Sutton Scholar is offered online mentoring support via the Brightside website: www.ementoring.suttontrust.com

Mentors can answer any questions the Scholars may have about UCL and their education generally, and provide feedback on homework tasks.

If a student has forgotten their log in information, they should email the UCL Sutton Scholars team.

What comes next?

We will track the academic progress of this year's cohort of UCL Sutton Scholars throughout secondary school, and will offer activities and reunion events in Year 9 and up. As they start GCSEs and A Levels, students will be invited to apply for our UCL Horizons programmes and Year 12 courses.

Recruitment for UCL Sutton Scholars 2014-15

2013-14 is our pilot year, and we cannot yet confirm if we will repeat the Year 8 programme in 2014-15. More information will be available on this website in due course.
