Law mature students' masterclass
This masterclass was designed for prospective mature students who are interested in studying Law at university.
In this lecture, Environmental Law was introduced as a subject. This is an area of law which has evolved rapidly over the last 50 years or so, and which is still developing its boundaries and content.
It is, however, clear that Environmental Law is directed towards the realisation of sustainable development (as well as other environmental goals) and is firmly underpinned by considerations of justice which have international, domestic, and inter-generational dimensions.
The legal and policy dynamics of environmental regulation were considered, and the role that law and policy has to play in achieving sustainability and environmental justice critically assessed.
For details of UCL's entry requirements for Law, please search for the particular degree you are interested in at www.ucl.ac.uk/prospectus
