Year 10 Debating Summer School

The UCL Horizons Year 10 Summer School uses the discipline of debating to sharpen critical thinking and public speaking skills. The programme has a different theme every year; past themes have included 'Science and Society' and 'Global Citizenship'. The Summer School lasts for four days and includes debating workshops, taster lectures, homework activities, an offsite visit, free lunch and a final day debate tournament.

'Politics' 2012 Summer School

Monday, 23 July 2012 to Thursday, 26 July 2012, 10am - 4pm daily

This year's theme is 'Politics'. Students will explore international relations, British politics and the impact of politics on young people, with daily taster lectures from UCL academics.

This year's Summer School is full - we are not currently accepting any further applications from Year 10 students.
