Visit UCL Days

Visit UCL Days are fun, interactive full day visits to UCL, where students will have the chance to explore our campus, take part in exciting academic sessions and find out exactly what it’s like to study at one of the world’s top universities.

Applications for our 2017-18 Visit UCL Days have now closed. Dates for the 2018-19 academic year will be announced at the end of summer.

We offer groups of pupils a motivating introduction to university, designed to address the specific challenges facing their particular Year Group/Key Stage. Pupils will take part in an academic taster session to broaden awareness of subjects taught at university, a tour of the UCL campus led by current students, and an educational quiz about different aspects of university. Events are free to attend and a packed lunch will be provided for school staff and pupils.

Visit UCL Days are aimed towards gifted and talented Year 6-11 pupils, whose parents dd not attend university.

Selection of Pupils

When selecting pupils, please refer to our WP eligibility criteria.

We ask that pupils are selected to attend only one day to give the opportunity to others.

Cancellation Policy

Visit UCL Days are free to attend. However, due to the limited number of places available, UCL Widening Participation has a school bookings cancellation policy in place.

Please note that we require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice if you need to cancel your school's booking. Cancellations with less than two weeks' notice will decrease the school's priority for places on future events. Cancellations must be emailed to Felicity Hayter-Gare.
