Teacher Taster Days

Teacher Taster Days are subject specific days run by academic members of staff, designed to aid teachers in teaching their subject in school and to bridge the gap between Key Stage 5 and degree level study. In addition to receiving up-to-date admissions information and advice, these interactive events, offer hands-on workshops, Q&A sessions and networking opportunities.

The Teacher Taster Days are free to attend, and are for teachers working in non-selective state schools and colleges. Funding for cover costs is available, and accommodation for delegates who are not within a commutable distance to London can also be provided.

Feedback from previous events

“All [the sessions] were very helpful for different reasons. Will definitely use braiding as an in-class investigation and pass on the admissions tutor notes to VI Form”.
“[It was] Most appreciated and it helps to engage in the most up to date research”.
“[The session on] Integrating research based approaches in teaching gave some really good outreach opportunities”.
