School Visits to UCL

Years 6 - 11

Please note that due to staff capacity we are not able to provide personalised school group visits for Years 7-11 or for primary schools. We offer Visit UCL Days for years 6-11 school groups.

Please note that this event is only open to students attending non-selective state schools. If you are a teacher, parent or student from a selective or independent school, please note that our open days, tours and public events are open to students from all school types.

If you are interested in having UCL visit your schools, please have a look at our UCL Visits to Schools page.

Year 12

We offer half-day higher education awareness visits to UCL for groups of students in Year 12. All visits include a welcome presentation and a tour of the campus led by current UCL students.

We can also offer presentations and workshops covering an HE-related topic such as the application process, tips for personal statements, student finance, choosing a course/university, or a Q&A with current students.

It is sometimes possible to offer visitors an interactive lecture to give students a chance to experience studying at university level. The taster lectures are delivered by UCL PhD students, and are designed to challenge students by introducing them to a subject they may not have studied before.

The groups we host are usually between 15 and 50 students. We ask that all the students visiting be on track to achieve UCL’s minimum entry requirements of ABB at A Level (or equivalent).
