Recognition of other UK, EU and International Qualifications
The information presented on these pages is intended only as a guide to the acceptability of qualifications for admission to UCL and the usual grade requirements. Each applicant will be considered on an individual basis.
Some degree programmes require specific subject knowledge. For details of subject requirements, please consult the information on A level/International Baccalaureate subject requirements on the individual subject entries in UCL's Undergraduate Prospectus.
All applicants are normally expected to have at least grade C in GCSE English and Mathematics or the equivalent. Some programmes require grades higher than C or additional GCSE passes in specified subjects, as outlined in the subject entries of the Undergraduate Prospectus. For UK-based students, UCL also requires a Modern Language GCSE at grade C or above for all of its programmes. If you are not studying a Modern Language GCSE this will not prohibit the consideration of your application. For students who do not have a Modern Language GCSE, UCL will provide opportunities to meet the language requirement once enrolled at UCL.
