Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences

The Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, established by Sir Flanders Petrie in 1913, is one of three on-site museums at UCL. Among its 80,000 items it holds this fragment of a Ramesside Period (1295-1070 BC) chapel-wall.

Our disciplines develop understanding of social, economic and cultural issues in both the present and the past. The humanities and sciences meet here, informing and enriching each other.
