Medical School

The main stairwell in the Cruciform Building. Formerly University College Hospital College, the building is now home to UCL's Medical School and the Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research.

Students who enter the UCL Medical School will enjoy the considerable advantages of being members of a world-class medical institution, with many opportunities for exciting specialist clinical attachments and special study components.

‘Kick and kill’ HIV vaccine a step closer

A study co-authored by Dr Ravindra Gupta (UCL Infection & Immunity) has observed that the human immune system can handle large bursts of HIV activity and so it should be possible to cure HIV with a ‘kick and kill’ strategy.
