Amos UCL Bursary
Amos UCL Bursary for Undergraduate Students
The aim of the Amos UCL Bursary is to enable and encourage UK male students with family connections to Africa or the Caribbean to pursue their undergraduate studies at UCL. Up to five awards are available for the 2013/14 academic session for an initial three-year period.
Applicants for the bursary must:
- be prospective male students who have family connections to Africa or the Caribbean and are intending to pursue their undergraduate studies at UCL;
- hold an offer of admission to UCL to study a full-time undergraduate degree for the 2013/14 intake (commencing in September 2013).
The award is made on the basis of applicants’ background and academic potential.
Value: Benefits and Duration
The successful recipient will be awarded £1,000 per annum for the duration of their programme at UCL subject to satisfactory academic progress. (The bursary will be paid in addition to any funding received through the main UCL Bursary/NSP schemes).
Application Deadline and Procedure
Eligible applicants are required to apply directly to the Amos Bursary Committee. Candidates will be nominated to UCL
by the Amos Bursary Committee.
Selection and Notification of Results
The successful candidate will be notified before the start of the academic year. Awards will only be made to students who have registered to study at UCL.
